While the cafe's vintage decor has its charm, some diners feel it could use a modern touch to enhance the overall experience. The 1970s atmosphere can be off-putting for some, although many find it adds to the cafe's character. During peak hours, there can be a bit of a wait for tables, especially on weekends, which may frustrate those looking for a quick meal. A few customers have mentioned wanting more vegan or gluten-free options on the menu, despite the existing variety.
What an excellent place to visit for breakfast and more. Really good value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of tables so not a lot of waiting. Conveniently situated next to the main bus stop. Recommended
Don’t let the 1970’s atmosphere put you off - the food is VERY reasonably priced, delicious and portions sizes very generous.Their food has the home cooked vibe as well. The staff are lovely and so helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough 💯
Good fry-up, jacket spuds (massive), still to try Steak and Kidney and other lunches. Really friendly.

Alternative mylk available for a good cup of tea.....no frills, good price (just under £6 for a veggie breakfast with 2 slices of toast and tea ) ..love sitting outside ...great place to spend time if you have missed the bus ...
First time ever been, had a nice basic, good old fashioned, sausage, egg, chips, and beans; huge portion with 3 sausages, 2 fried eggs, big helping of chips and beans on a very large oval plate. Everything was cooked to perfection. Great, simple hearty food at a great price for the amount you receive, recommended.
